Safe Travels - Bosnia and Herzegovina

Herzegovina itself says the other part of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Have you been able to experience a mixture of different civilizations on your travels, one after the other complemented and disappeared in historical terms?

Traveling from the direction of Sarajevo opens an entirely new dimension of the diversity of history and the biodiversity of flora and fauna represented under the influence of the Mediterranean Climate. Herzegovina is also world-famous for growing grapes of various wine varieties. Among them, the most famous are the indigenous species Žilavka and Blatina.

When they were driving through the Ivan tunnel, many said that it was the mountain border between the two countries, but this is not true because the natural edge lies in a completely different place in the city of Konjic; this is where our journey and first stop begins.

A short break that we will use to see the 17th century Bridge. Which is one of the few most beautiful bridges from the Ottoman period located in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Find out his past and present.

Continuation of the journey leads us to the small town of Jablanica known for its Stone Granite and for one of the enemy offensives and the most humane battle during World War II, which was fought in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We continue our journey through the beautiful and unique canyon of the emerald green river Neretva, which has cut its way through the stone towards the Adriatic Sea for thousands of years.

Arriving in Mostar, we continue the tour in the old town. Do you know how Mostar got its name? A visit to the Old Bridge made in the 16th century by Mimar Hajrudin, demolished in 1993, and rebuilt in 2004 is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Walking through the old town, we come to Koski Mehmed-pasha mosque, where you will learn more about Islam, the opportunity to climb the Minaret, and see the unique panorama of the city of Mostar and the Old Bridge.

...

During the tour, you will also have the opportunity to visit the old bridge, an identical but smaller one made about 50 years ago.

...

We continue our journey to the 15th century Dervish Tekke the place of Sufism built in the beautiful surroundings of the natural Cliff Rock. When we mention Sufism in the context of Islam, do you know how long the process of Islamization lasted - when Islam came to Bosnia and how long it took after the conquest of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Strengthen as a Faith.
Above the Tekke, caves date back to the Neolithic - Paleolithic times. What is most interesting is that the cliff's foot is the largest source of drinking water and forms the river Buna. We continue our visit to the Medieval City, which is located at the top of the Rock itself. From there is an invaluable view of the Neretva Valley and the city of Mostar.

...

The journey takes us further to the small town of Stolac, unique for several cultural and historical monuments that you can visit. We start the story with Medieval tombstones - Stećci, a necropolis that contains individual specimens and beautifully ornamented tombstones so you can learn more about their origin and meaning. Most importantly, they are on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

...

You will have a unique opportunity to visit one of the oldest ancient cities in Europe, unique in its defensive walls and the way they are made. We jokingly say we have an amazing Machu Picchu in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

...

We will also visit Počitelj, a historical settlement of oriental-Mediterranean characters located in the valley of the river Neretva and one of the most beautiful cultural and historical sites.

...

We will end the trip by visiting Medjugorje, which is currently one of the largest Marian shrines in the world. With the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1981, this place became a destination for pilgrims worldwide. We will visit a unique Wine Cellar nearby if you decide to meet and taste the famous indigenous varieties.
